CANCELED!
Due to the weather, the Trenton Fish & Game Club Nordic/X-C ski event and Betty's lunch party scheduled for Saturday 1/24/26 are being canceled. This event may get rescheduled later this winter! Stay tuned! If you have any questions, let me know!

Greenbelt X-C Ski Day 1/24/26 Location Change Update!
Instead of X-C skiing at the Greenbelt trails in Mapledale (Holland Patent) on 1/24, we will be skiing just down the road at the Trenton Fish & Game Club (8001 Wood Road) meeting at 10am. I skied there last week and really liked their trail system. Except for 1 big hill, the rest of the trails that I skied on were easy and not too challenging. After skiing, a good friend and Jeannine's mom, Betty Murtaugh who lives right next door to the Fish & Game club (7981 Wood Road) will be hosting a luncheon. Betty used to host a luncheon years ago and it was very popular! Crock pots and hot food can be dropped off at her house before skiing at 10am. Luncheon is planned to start around 12-12:30 pm.
For those planning on skiing, the Fish & Game club will require everyone to fill out a Wolverine Ski Club Membership form, for insurance purposes. FYI- there is no cost to fill out a membership form, as the club is free the 1st year. The Wolverine Ski Club is associated with the Trenton Fish & Game Club. I have printed copies of the membership form and will have them at the GE Ski Club general meeting on Tuesday 1/20. If you can't make the meeting, you can still fill a form out at the Fish & Game club before skiing.
Betty is an elderly lady, so when she agreed to hosting the luncheon, I said our group would bring everything, so she would not have to cook and there would be no hassles for her. I will have a signup at the ski club meeting for those interested in going to Betty's! Items on the list will be Chili, corn bread, salad, dessert, beverages, paper plates, bowls and silverware. If you can't make the meeting, you can call or text me!
Betty's house is set back in off of the road with a small circular drive near her house. Parking is somewhat limited, so carpooling is recommended. FYI- Once you park on her driveway, you may be stuck there until the cars in front of you leave.
If for whatever reason skiing doesn't happen on 1/24, we will still be doing the luncheon at Betty's!
